12-fight UFC veteran Sam Sicilia Newest to sign multi-fight Bellator contract

Good on him! Dropping a unanimous choice to promotional newcomer Gavin Tucker in UFC Fight Night 105 back in October, Sicilia dropped to a three-fight losing skid from the UFC and received his pink slip from the advertising. I like that he’s found a new house with Bellator, and hopefully an equally good or better payday. Win or lose, the Washington native always shows up to fight and seems for the end. Congratulations to Sammy Dubs because of his new contract, and best of luck on his new chapter.
Frank Mir agrees to deal with Bellator MMA
Nice! The UFC did the right thing and published Mir out of his contract, which allowed Bellator to sweep up him. My guess is that they guaranteed him a matchup from Fedor Emalianenko, which made him choose Bellator over rival promotions. I like this move by Mir and look forward to seeing him inside the Bellator cage. The Fedor matchup would surely be an interesting one.

NAC approves lighter gloves for Mayweather vs. McGregor
This was certainly some astonishing news. Two ounces isn’t much, but I think it makes somewhat of a difference.
Dillashaw: Mighty Mouse was’consolation prize’
TJ Dillashaw is finally set to face UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt in UFC 217 in nyc on November 4th, and the most important reason this name fight is now happening is since UFC flyweight champion Demetrious »Mighty Mouse » Johnson refused to defend his title against Dillashaw when Garbrandt was forced out of their UFC 209 competition due to injury. The Duane Ludwig-trained fighter understands that Johnson wasn’t confident in himself to take the challenge. Talking to MMA Junkie Radio, Dillashaw explained that the Gabrandt fight is exactly what he wanted all along and the Johnson matchup was just a backup plan. He understands that’s not a fantastic fight for him and wouldn’t take it, » Dillashaw explained. « He’s real worried about the document that he needs to break. Go ahead and let him do this, I figure. »
White: Ferguson, Lee to struggle for interim lightweight name Alright, now we’re talking! Early common consensus is that Ferguson is going to handily defeat Lee, but I’m not so confident. Lee has been very impressive as of late, and I like seeing his expansion within the Octagon. This is a matchup I’m looking forward to seeing, and win or lose, I hope Lee doesn’t suffer any mishaps he cane make a quick turnaround for December’s UFC 218 in his native Detroit, that is two months after the Ferguson bout.
Paulo Borrachinha Costa: ‘I Will Knock Out Johny Hendricks’
Yeah, we’ll see about that, Paulito.

Diego Sanchez returns to welterweight, matches Matt Brown in UFC Fight Night 120
No, Diego, Nooooo!!!!! Say it is not so! Just call it quits, my dude. Hang them up gloves. It is time. You do not need to be jumping back around 170 pounds when you’re lately testing the waters at 145. Do not stick around for the cash, person, the brain damage won’t be well worth it.
