Who Will Replace Julien as the Full-Time Head Coach of the Bruins?

Well, you had a good run but I suppose it had to end. After nine and a half years of service, Claude Julien was fired as head coach of the Boston Bruins and rumors are beginning to swirl as to who can replace the Stanley Cup-winning coach.
It’s apparent the Bruins’ management wasn’t delighted with the direction the team was going in, with only 58 points after 55 matches, but what’s not very clear is precisely what they anticipated. Almost everyone predicted the B’s would be a team on the outside looking in and it appeared all but certain Julien would be relieved of his post in the conclusion of the season. The impatience of this new NHL, however, reared its ugly head once more and among the greatest coaches in the league is now searching for work — which I am sure he will see in short order. The timing could not have been better for the Bruins as it was unlikely they would confront much backlash from the public and the media together with the Patriots observing their recent Super Bowl win with a parade in downtown Boston at precisely the exact same time the Bruins announced the shooting.
BetOnline has set lines on who will end up the upcoming full-time trainer of the First Six team from Massachusetts and there are some familiar names near the top of the list. With former Panthers bench boss Gerard Gallant coming in at +200 and the very recently fired Ken Hitchcock being available at +400.
Assistant coach Bruce Cassidy will take over head coaching duties in the meantime and he’s the current favorite to take over the full-time job with +160 odds. Before he had been promoted to the big club at the start of the 2016-17 season, Cassidy served as the head coach of the Bruins’ AHL affiliate in Providence for five decades. It’s very likely the Bruins’ management has been dressing the Ottawa, Ontario native for the significant job so that it makes a lot of feel he’s the favorite.
With groups like the Penguins, Blues, Panthers and the Islanders all using this method with their current fulltime head coach hirings, I really could see the Bruins doing exactly the same thing. I’m unsure what it requires to keep a job as a head coach in the NHL anymore but if Claude Julien does not have it, nobody will.
